With a strong commitment to clinical excellence and regulatory compliance, they are now seeking an experienced Medical Director to join the leadership team and support the ongoing delivery of safe, effective, and patient-focused care.
The Role
As Medical Director, you will be the clinical lead for the organisation, providing strategic guidance and oversight on all medical matters. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining clinical governance, driving service improvement, and ensuring the organisation continues to meet CQC standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical governance and patient safety systems.
- Provide guidance on clinical protocols, training, and professional standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and support with CQC inspections.
- Support staff training and development, particularly for paramedics and front-line clinicians.
- Contribute to strategic planning and risk management.
- Review and audit clinical performance and compliance.
Ideal Candidate
- GMC-registered Consultant in Emergency Medicine (preferred, though not essential).
- Significant experience in pre-hospital care, urgent or emergency services.
- Previous clinical leadership or medical directorship experience desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance frameworks.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Passion for improving patient outcomes and ensuring clinical excellence.
